Sacramento Kings used timely shooting and a historic night from Russell Westbrook to secure a 113-107 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night at Golden 1 Center.

Westbrook scored 21 points, added nine assists and five rebounds, and moved past Magic Johnson for seventh on the NBA’s all-time assists list with 10,149.

The 37-year-old guard is now within nine points of tying Dominique Wilkins for 19th on the league’s career scoring chart, adding another milestone to a season built on production and leadership.

Sacramento improved to 8-23 and recorded its third win in the past 13 games, while also extending its winning streak against Dallas to four straight meetings.

The Kings leaned heavily on perimeter shooting to withstand a late Mavericks push, finishing 17-of-38 from three-point range.

Keon Ellis matched Westbrook with 21 points, knocking down five three-pointers and setting the tone early with 13 first-quarter points that helped Sacramento build a double-digit lead.

Maxime Raynaud continued his strong stretch with 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting, providing interior efficiency against Dallas’ front line.

Dennis Schroder added 10 points and five assists off the bench, while rookie Nique Clifford contributed eight points and nine rebounds in a high-energy reserve role.

Dallas cut the deficit to 111-107 with nine seconds remaining, but DeMar DeRozan calmly converted two free throws to close the door.

The Mavericks were led by Cooper Flagg, who finished with 23 points, six rebounds and five assists, though his five turnovers proved costly in a tight finish.

P.J. Washington recorded 17 points and four blocks, and Klay Thompson chipped in 14 points while hitting four three-pointers off the bench.

Dallas has now dropped four of its last five games and fell to 21-21, continuing an uneven stretch marked by late-game execution issues.

After surrendering much of an 18-point advantage, Sacramento responded with a decisive 20-10 run in the third quarter, fueled by four three-pointers.

Ellis scored eight points during that stretch, including two triples, as the Kings regained control after Dallas briefly seized momentum.

Sacramento led 59-44 at halftime after pushing the margin back to 16 midway through the second quarter.
