If the Bucks wait until free agency to explore a Giannis Antetokounmpo trade, several teams could gain additional flexibility in crafting offers for the two-time MVP.

One potential suitor is Miami.

According to Ira Winderman of The South Florida Sun Sentinel, the Heat could include Andrew Wiggins in a trade package if the veteran forward exercises his $30.2 million player option before the June 29 deadline.

Delaying a trade could create more options for Milwaukee, but it may also come at a cost.

While teams can trade players selected in the draft after the event takes place, the Bucks would lose the opportunity to directly influence which prospects are chosen with any acquired picks beforehand.

Meanwhile, Chris Haynes also addressed rumors connecting Antetokounmpo to Boston.

Although the Celtics remain a possible destination, Haynes indicated that their interest may not be as strong as previously believed.

“The possibility of Boston acquiring Antetokounmpo is not ‘as promising as we thought,’” Haynes said, adding that there is currently “not a clear sign as of right now that (acquiring Giannis) is their number one objective.”

As trade speculation continues to intensify, both Miami and Boston remain teams to watch.

However, with no clear frontrunner emerging and the Bucks seemingly willing to wait beyond the draft, the timeline for a potential Antetokounmpo blockbuster remains uncertain.
