The Dallas Mavericks travel to Salt Lake City on Monday, December 15, to face the Utah Jazz at 9:00 PM ET. Both teams are looking to extend their recent winning streaks, with Dallas riding a two-game run and Utah coming off a one-game victory.

Dallas will be without Kyrie Irving, who is sidelined with left knee surgery, and D’Angelo Russell, out due to illness. Anthony Davis is listed as questionable with a left calf contusion, while Daniel Gafford is also questionable with a right ankle issue. Dereck Lively II and Dante Exum remain out with foot and knee injuries, respectively.

The Mavericks’ recent wins over Brooklyn (119-111) and Houston (122-109) have been led by Davis, who averages 20.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, and Cooper Flagg, contributing 17.5 points and 6.3 rebounds. Max Christie adds 12.0 points per game, while P.J. Washington provides 15.8 points and 7.6 rebounds.

Utah faces multiple absences, including Walker Kessler (left shoulder), Georges Niang (left foot), and Jusuf Nurkic (rest). Elijah Harkless and John Tonje are sidelined on two-way assignments, while Oscar Tshiebwe is also unavailable from the G League.

The Jazz enter the game with a 9-15 record, slightly behind the Mavericks’ 10-16 mark. Lauri Markkanen leads Utah with 27.6 points per game, adding 6.7 rebounds, while Keyonte George averages 22.9 points. Svi Mykhailiuk and Ace Bailey contribute 8.9 and 10.2 points per game, respectively, giving Utah secondary scoring depth.

Monday’s matchup marks the first meeting between these teams this season.
