Anthony Davis scored 20 of his 24 points in the second half and grabbed 14 rebounds with three blocks, while Cooper Flagg added 22 points and eight assists to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 119–111 victory over the Brooklyn Nets at American Airlines Center. The win gives Dallas two straight home victories for the first time this season and five wins in their last six games.

Naji Marshall contributed 17 points off the bench, helping the Mavericks outscore Brooklyn 66–44 in the paint despite missing key big men Dereck Lively II and Daniel Gafford due to injuries.

Brandon Williams’ late 3-pointer and Davis’ floater following a turnover by Michael Porter Jr. sealed the game in the final minutes.

Michael Porter Jr. led the Nets with 34 points, marking his fourth consecutive 30-point game, while rookie Danny Wolf added 17 points, including 12 in the second half. Nic Claxton posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, but Brooklyn shot just 28.6% from the floor in the fourth quarter, including 2-of-9 from beyond the arc.

The Mavericks faced a challenging start as Brooklyn connected on a season-best 43.6% from three, hitting 17 of 39 attempts, with Porter going 6-of-10 from deep. Despite the hot shooting, Dallas’ dominance inside and clutch plays down the stretch allowed them to rally from a late tie at 110.

Davis’ performance as a center proved pivotal, especially with Dallas’ injury situation, while Flagg’s ability to distribute and score kept the offense balanced. The Mavericks improved to 10–16, showing resilience against a Nets team that had won three of four coming into the matchup.

Brooklyn falls to 6–18 and will look to rebound when they host the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, while Dallas heads to Utah on Monday to continue a three-game road stretch.
