Knicks guard Miles McBride was injured in the third quarter of Sunday’s win over Orlando, as noted by James L. Edwards III of The Athletic.

A video shared by New York Basketball shows the player driving to the rim for a left-handed layup when Desmond Bane fouled him, with Bane’s left foot appearing to come down on McBride’s left ankle.

McBride stood up on his own and stayed in long enough to shoot two free throws, but Edwards reports he soon asked to come out and was visibly limping.

After the game, the Knicks announced he was being evaluated for a left ankle injury, with another update expected Monday, according to Ian Begley of SNY.tv.

Michael Scotto of HoopsHype added that McBride’s X-ray was negative and that he will undergo an MRI on Monday.

McBride has been off to a strong start this season, averaging 12.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while shooting 46.2 percent from three across 19 appearances.

In other Knicks injury news, Karl-Anthony Towns was ruled out Sunday with left calf tightness after being listed as questionable.

Jared Schwartz of The New York Post noted the issue seemed to bother him on Friday, but Edwards reports it doesn’t appear “too serious.”
