The Knicks shared an update on Tuesday regarding Miles McBride’s recovery from sports hernia surgery, noting that he is “progressing well,” according to Stefan Bondy of The New York Post.
McBride has already reached the stage where he’s participating in contact drills, signaling steady progress in his rehab.
Despite that, head coach Mike Brown avoided giving any clear timeline for when the guard might return to game action, emphasizing uncertainty around the process.
“I try not to hear (the updates on McBride’s recovery), because does that mean he’ll be back in two weeks, three weeks, a week, 10 days? I don’t know,” Brown said.
“Deuce was playing well for us when this happened. It’s part of the season, so keep fingers crossed, allow our medical crew who has done a fantastic job, and when he comes back we’ll all be excited.”
McBride has played 5 seasons for the Knicks. He has averaged 7.1 points in 271 regular-season games.
