New York Knicks guard Miles McBride has been sidelined since January 27 with a core muscle injury that required surgery.
At the time, the team expressed hope that he could make it back before the regular season concludes, and now he appears to be making steady progress toward that goal.
Ahead of Tuesday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans, McBride participated in his usual pregame routine, signaling that his return may not be far off.
Although his official injury status hasn’t changed yet, the signs point to him getting closer to rejoining the lineup.
Prior to going down, McBride was enjoying the best season of his career. In a key bench role, he averaged 12.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while logging 28 minutes per game.
He was also highly effective from beyond the arc, shooting 42% on 6.9 three-point attempts per contest.
