Bogdan Bogdanovic has faced a difficult stretch in recent months, dealing with multiple injuries that have disrupted his rhythm heading into the 2025–26 NBA season with the Los Angeles Clippers.
The 33-year-old Serbian guard was forced to leave the EuroBasket tournament early due to a hamstring injury and then suffered a back issue at the start of the NBA preseason.
As a result, his start to the regular season has been slow, with limited playing time and reduced impact.
Bogdanovic has appeared in only two games so far under head coach Tyronn Lue, logging a total of 33 minutes. Over that span, he’s scored just two points on 1-for-9 shooting while averaging 3.0 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game.
Lue, however, made it clear that the organization remains patient and supportive as Bogdanovic works his way back into form.
“We’re going to wait for you. Just take your time, find your rhythm, get your legs, get your conditioning. We’re not going to give up on you by any means necessary,” Lue told reporters after practice on Tuesday.
The Clippers coach also mentioned that both Bogdanovic and Bradley Beal are easing back into full health.
“Just take your time and don’t get frustrated with yourself,” he added.
A seasoned veteran with 540 NBA games under his belt, Bogdanovic was traded to the Clippers last February after five seasons with the Atlanta Hawks and three with the Sacramento Kings.
Originally drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 2014, he made his NBA debut in 2017 following a successful stint in Europe, where he won the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague title with Fenerbahce in 2017.
Currently 3–2, the Clippers sit fifth in the Western Conference standings as they prepare for a back-to-back set against the Miami Heat and the unbeaten Oklahoma City Thunder at Intuit Dome.
For now, Bogdanovic’s focus remains on regaining his health and rhythm, with the Clippers confident he’ll return to form as the season progresses.
