The Milwaukee Bucks announced that guard Kevin Porter Jr. has been diagnosed with a right meniscus injury and is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks.

The team confirmed that the injury will require a minor orthopedic procedure to address the issue.

Porter Jr. reportedly sustained the knee injury during a workout on Thursday while still in the process of rehabbing a sprained left ankle that he suffered on opening night.

The setback comes as an unfortunate blow for the 25-year-old, who began the season as Milwaukee’s starting point guard and was expected to play a major role in the team’s backcourt rotation.

Porter Jr. has played 6 seasons for 4 teams, including the Rockets and Bucks. He has averaged 13.9 points, 4.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 272 regular-season games.
