As anticipated, the Atlanta Hawks have officially picked up their 2026–27 rookie-scale team option on forward Zaccharie Risacher, guaranteeing the 2024 No. 1 overall pick a salary of $13,826,040 for next season.

The move was expected, as the young French prospect remains central to Atlanta’s long-term plans.

Risacher’s rookie campaign in 2024–25 started off unevenly as he adjusted to the NBA.

In his first 38 games, he averaged 10.5 points and 3.6 rebounds over 23.6 minutes per contest while shooting just 40% from the field and 28.3% from three-point range.

But the 20-year-old wing found his stride in the latter half of the season, showing the scoring potential that made him the top overall pick.

Over his final 35 games, he boosted his production to 14.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, while dramatically improving his efficiency to 51.8% from the field and 41.8% from deep.

This fall, Risacher has been dealing with a right ankle sprain that sidelined him for two of Atlanta’s first five games.

Despite the setback, he’s averaged 8.7 points per game on 40% shooting through the early stages of his second NBA season.
