Sasha Vezenkov of Olympiacos Piraeus has been named MVP of Round 5 in the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season thanks to a standout performance in his team’s dramatic 94-95 comeback victory on the road against Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv.

Olympiacos trailed by 12 points with just four minutes remaining, but Vezenkov led the charge in the closing stretch.

He finished the night with 23 points, shooting 6-of-7 on two-pointers, 2-of-5 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.

He also added 10 rebounds and 2 assists, finishing with a PIR of 31 – the best of any player in the round.

This is Vezenkov’s second MVP of the Round award of the season, making him the first player to win multiple MVP honors in the 2025-26 campaign.

With this achievement, he ties Nando De Colo for the second-most MVP of the Round recognitions in EuroLeague history with a total of 16.

Right behind him in performance were Olympiacos teammate Nikola Milutinov and Panathinaikos AKTOR’s Cedi Osman, both posting a PIR of 30.

Milutinov contributed 23 points, while Osman scored 29.

Other notable names included Dan Oturu with a PIR of 29, and Arnas Butkevicius, Carsen Edwards, and Filip Petrusev, each recording a PIR of 28.

Edwards topped all scorers in Round 5 with a career-high 36 points for Virtus Segafredo Bologna.

Among the statistical leaders for the round were Mfiondu Kabengele with 13 rebounds, Kostas Sloukas with 12 assists, Nikola Mirotic with 4 steals, and Khalifa Diop with 3 blocks.
