
The Chicago Bulls re-signed guard Mac McClung on Friday only to waive him three hours later, according to the NBA transaction log. McClung was replaced on the roster by Trentyn Flowers.
McClung, 26, has spent time with several NBA and G League teams, including Orlando, Philadelphia, and the Los Angeles Lakers. In six career NBA games, he has averaged 5.5 points, 2.2 assists, and 2.3 rebounds.
In the G League, McClung has been a high scorer, averaging 25.7 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.9 rebounds in 32.7 minutes per game for the 2024–25 season with the Oklahoma City Blue. He shot 51% from the field and 37.8% from three-point range.
Flowers, 20, joins the Bulls after a brief NBA stint with the Clippers, where he averaged 1.8 points over six games in 2024–25.
He had a stronger G League campaign with the Santa Cruz Warriors, posting 20.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game while shooting 47% from the field and 37.2% from deep.
