The Chicago Bulls have waived two-way guard Yuki Kawamura, NBA insider Michael Scotto reported on Friday. The move comes after Kawamura sustained an injury during training camp.
Kawamura, 24, originally signed a two-way contract with the Bulls on July 19 after joining the team for the 2025 NBA Summer League.
He previously spent the 2024–25 season with the Memphis Grizzlies, appearing in 22 games and averaging 1.6 points in 4.2 minutes per contest.
In the G League, Kawamura has been more productive. With the Memphis Hustle, he averaged 12.4 points, 7.8 assists, and 2.7 rebounds across 31 minutes per game, shooting 40% from the field and 41% from three-point range.
During the 2025–26 preseason, Kawamura appeared in two games for Chicago. He totaled 6 points, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds in 21 combined minutes while contributing defensively with a steal in each contest.
