Olympiacos pulled off a dramatic 95-94 comeback win over Maccabi Tel Aviv at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall in Belgrade, scoring 14 of the last 15 points to move to 3-2 in the EuroLeague season.

The reigning Greek champions trailed for most of the night before All-EuroLeague forward Sasha Vezenkov sealed the victory with clutch free throws and a go-ahead layup in the final seconds. The Reds’ late rally extended their winning streak over Maccabi to six games.

Vezenkov finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds, marking his third double-double of the campaign.

Center Nikola Milutinov matched Vezenkov’s 23 points on 8-of-9 shooting, anchoring a paint-heavy attack that saw Olympiacos hit an impressive 74.3% of its two-point attempts. Tyler Dorsey added 18 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while Tyson Ward set a new personal best with eight assists.

Olympiacos’ defense finally clicked when it mattered most. The Reds forced six straight misses in the closing minutes, turning stops into fast-break opportunities and forcing Maccabi out of rhythm.

The Greek giants are dealing with key absences, including Thomas Walkup, Shaq McKissic, and Evan Fournier.

For Maccabi, Jeff Dowtin Jr. led with 24 points. Lonnie Walker added 15 points but missed a contested jumper at the buzzer that would have changed the outcome. Jaylen Hoard and Roman Sorkin chipped in 12 apiece. The Israeli side fell to 1-4 after surrendering yet another late-game lead.

Olympiacos now head to Munich to face Bayern next week before returning home for a four-game stretch. Maccabi will look to regroup when they host Real Madrid in Round 6.
