New Orleans Pelicans guard Jordan Poole expressed optimism about the team’s trajectory, saying, “We’re at an age where we can do it together. We can get in the playoffs, play meaningful games, go through tough stretches as a unit. That’s really what builds teams.”

Poole highlighted the potential of the Pelicans’ young but talented roster, emphasizing teamwork and shared experience as keys to success.

The Pelicans have started the 2025 preseason 2–0, with wins over the Melbourne United and South East Melbourne Phoenix in Australia.

Saddiq Bey led the second preseason game with 21 points, while Zion Williamson contributed nine rebounds, and Poole added four assists.

The Pelicans will continue preseason action against Houston on October 14, followed by games in Orlando on October 16.

The regular season opens October 22 at Memphis, marking the start of a campaign where Poole and the Pelicans hope to translate preseason promise into playoff contention.
