The Detroit Pistons have signed guard Jaden Akins, a standout player from Michigan State, HoopsHype reported.

Akins, a 2025 Third-team All-Big Ten honoree, brings a mix of scoring and defensive skills to the Pistons’ backcourt.

During his senior season at Michigan State, Akins averaged 12.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game while earning a spot on the Big Ten All-Defensive Team.

He scored 23 points with nine rebounds in an early-season win over Monmouth and surpassed 1,000 career points in January 2025 against Northwestern.

Akins played in 138 games across his collegiate career, averaging 9.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per contest. His career shooting splits include 35.2% from three-point range and 72.2% from the free-throw line, showing consistent perimeter efficiency.
