Toliopoulos is making two milestones in just one week.

A busy week for Vassilis Toliopoulos as he played with Greece in a Bronze medal match in EuroBasket, while also having his debut in the Panathinaikos jersey.

Following a productive two-year stint with Aris, the Greek guard officially signed a three-year contract with the Panathinaikos AKTOR Athlect.

The 29-year-old appeared in 15 EuroCup games this season, starting six. He averaged 13.7 points, two boards, and 2.5 assists per game, shooting 44% from the field.

With these consistent contributions, he earned the Most Improved Player award in Greece’s top division.

Meanwhile, Panathinaikos ended with a 22-12 record, finishing third place in the 2024-25 EuroLeague regular season. They reached the Final Four but placed fourth after losses to Fenerbahce and Olympiacos.

The 6-foot-2 has been actively part of the Greek national teams. He obtained a bronze medal in the 2016 U20 European Championship (Division B) and played in the 2015 U19 World Cup, where Greece finished fourth.

In his international presence, he remained consistent in helping his national team. He also played in the 2021 FIBA World Cup qualifiers and the 2024 Paris Olympics

Toliopoulos averaged 18.1 minutes, 7.9 points, one rebound, and 1.9 assists in the main tournament of EuroBasket 2025.
