Coach David Blatt could find himself back in work after being released rather controversially by Cleveland in January.

The former Euroleague championship-winning coach with Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly in talks with the New York Knicks, according to the Vertical.

It was rumoured that Knicks president Phil Jackson met with Blatt on Monday for preliminary talks regarding the vacant head coaching role following the sacking of Derek Fisher in February.

Despite a promising start, the Knicks eventually plummeted to a 32-50 record in the Eastern Conference.
