More offseason notes. This time featuring the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, and Atlanta Hawks.

  • The Indiana Pacers’ depth was a major reason why they got to/nearly won the 2025 NBA Finals (lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder in seven games), so hopefully New York Knicks head coach Mike Brown noticed that (entering first year with team) and gives Mitchell Robinson, Jordan Clarkson, Miles McBride, and Guerschon Yabusele meaningful minutes come playoff time.
  • I’ll be paying close attention to Miami Heat youngsters Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Nikola Jovic, Pelle Larsson, and rookie Kasparas Jakucionis this upcoming season. I’d say Ware probably will play the most/have the best year of those guys, but it would be nice for all five to establish themselves as rotation players that can help win games with the veterans (37-45 record during 2024-25/swept in the First Round vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers).
  • I think a lot of people would agree that the Atlanta Hawks could go on a sneaky 2026 postseason run. Names like Trae Young, Jalen Johnson, Dyson Daniels, Onyeka Okongwu, Zaccharie Risacher, Kristaps Porzingis, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Luke Kennard, rookie Asa Newell, Mouhamed Gueye, and Kobe Bufkin headline this loaded ATL roster.
