New York Knicks guard Josh Hart revealed that he refused to pay $50 to remove advertisements from a Spades game on his phone, saying he would rather continue watching ads than spend that much money.
During a conversation with Jalen Brunson and Michael Strahan, Hart discussed his preference for free services and his reluctance to pay for certain subscriptions.
“I’m a free trial guy,” Hart said.
“Give me as much as I can get before I got to pay for it,” Strahan responded.
Brunson then revealed that he uses Hart’s YouTube TV account without asking for permission.
“Without his permission, I use his YouTube TV,” Brunson said.
Hart responded by calling Brunson cheap before explaining his frustration with the price of removing advertisements from a mobile game.
“He cheap as hell. But the joint that really be pissing me off is because they be really trying to finesse.
“I was playing Spades on my phone on one of my apps, and they had ads, and I’m like, you know what, I might just do ad-free cuz it’s getting annoying.
“I’m thinking it’s going to be a couple dollars. It was $50. For ad-free. I said, ‘You know what? Y’all can smoke one. I’m not paying $50. I’ll watch as many ads as you want.’”
