Giannis Antetokounmpo is set to headline Greece’s squad, as the Hellenic Basketball Federation officially unveiled their 12-man roster for FIBA EuroBasket 2025 on Sunday evening.

The Milwaukee Bucks superstar will once again be the focal point for the national team, bringing his trademark combination of athletic dominance and leadership.

Joining him is veteran guard Kostas Sloukas, whose experience and playmaking ability will provide stability in the backcourt, as well as Tyler Dorsey, a proven scorer known for his offensive spark.

Under the guidance of head coach Vassilis Spanoulis, the team is expected to adopt a more up-tempo style of play, built around suffocating defense and quick transitions – an approach designed to maximize their athleticism and intensity.

Greece’s official roster for EuroBasket 2025:

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • Kostas Antetokounmpo
  • Thanasis Antetokounmpo
  • Tyler Dorsey
  • Panagiotis Kalaitzakis
  • Dimitrios Katsivelis
  • Giannoulis Larentzakis
  • Dinos Mitoglou
  • Kostas Papanikolaou
  • Alexandros Samodurov
  • Kostas Sloukas
  • Vasileios Toliopoulos

The announcement came shortly after Greece wrapped up their preparation games with a 92–77 defeat to France in Athens, closing their friendly schedule with a 4–3 record.

While much of the attention will naturally be on the established stars, the roster also highlights the federation’s investment in the future.

Rising prospect Alexandros Samodurov, who earned a spot in the All-Star Five at the FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2025 earlier this summer, has been included, adding youthful energy and versatility to the lineup.

Greece has been placed in Group C, which will be hosted in Limassol, Cyprus. They face a challenging pool that includes Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, reigning champions Spain, and co-hosts Cyprus.

The Greeks will tip off their campaign against Italy on August 28 at 20:30 CET, aiming to set the tone for what they hope will be a deep run in the competition.
