Alperen Sengun is set to spearhead Turkey’s campaign at FIBA EuroBasket 2025, following the announcement of the team’s final 12-man roster.

Sengun will be joined by a wealth of seasoned talent, including veteran stars Cedi Osman, Omer Yurtseven, and Shane Larkin, giving Turkey a well-rounded squad capable of making a deep tournament run.

Heading into the tournament, Turkey carries strong momentum, having secured victories in their last three warm-up games. They most recently overcame Montenegro, adding to wins against Czechia and Lithuania.

Although their preparations began with setbacks against Lithuania and Germany, the team found its rhythm and closed the series with three consecutive wins, building confidence and cohesion ahead of the main event.

This squad enters EuroBasket with genuine aspirations of reaching the podium. With their last Quarter-Final appearance dating back to 2009, these players are highly motivated to cement themselves among Europe’s elite contenders in 2025.

In the tournament draw, Turkey is placed in Group A in Riga, opening their campaign against the hosts, Latvia, on August 27 at 16:00 CET.

They will then face a challenging lineup including Czechia, Portugal, Estonia, and Serbia, testing their skill and teamwork as they aim to advance to the later stages of the competition.
