Sacramento Kings center Maxime Raynaud is expected to miss at least two weeks after suffering a right knee injury during Saturday’s game against the Golden State Warriors.

The Kings announced Sunday that Raynaud sustained a patellar subluxation, which occurs when the kneecap partially moves out of its normal position.

The injury happened when Warriors superstar Stephen Curry collided with Raynaud as the center was setting a screen.

Raynaud remained on the court for several minutes following the collision before being taken off in a wheelchair.

After the game, the second-year center was seen leaving the arena on crutches with his right knee wrapped.

Although the incident initially raised concerns about the severity of the injury, the team’s announcement suggests that Raynaud may have avoided a more serious setback.

Sacramento will monitor his recovery over the next two weeks before determining when he might be able to return to basketball activities.

The 7-foot-1 center is expected to have an important role in the Kings’ rotation during the 2026-27 NBA season, primarily serving as a backup to starting center Domantas Sabonis.

His absence could temporarily affect Sacramento’s frontcourt depth as the team continues preparing for the regular season.
