Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun is confident that the offense will flourish following the addition of Kevin Durant to the team.
Speaking ahead of his participation with the Turkish national team at EuroBasket, Sengun shared his thoughts in an interview with Anadolu, Turkey’s state-run news agency, as noted by RocketsWire.
He expressed his enthusiasm about the opportunity to play alongside one of the game’s elite talents.
“I’m excited to play with Durant. Everyone is excited to play with him. It doesn’t matter his age – ultimately, he’s Kevin Durant. I have no doubt he will bring a lot to the team,” Sengun stated.
He went on to highlight the two-time NBA champion’s wealth of experience and the positive impact it will have on the Rockets’ roster, especially given the youthfulness of many players.
“He’s very experienced, and we have some very young players. I think he’ll open up the game for us. He’s incredibly effective both offensively and defensively,” Sengun added, emphasizing Durant’s dual-threat capability on both ends of the floor and the boost it could provide to the team’s overall performance.
