Golden State Warriors swingman Moses Moody praised longtime teammate Draymond Green for being a guiding presence throughout his NBA journey.

In a recent one-on-one interview with DJ Siddiqi on RG, Moody described Green as a mentor who has taught him more than just basketball strategy.

“He teaches me so much, not even just about basketball,” Moody said. “He’s taught me about finance, about money, about the league, about being a professional.”

The 21st-century Warriors dynasty has been defined by the leadership of Green and Stephen Curry, both of whom continue to influence younger teammates like Moody.

At 23, Moody is entering his fourth NBA season and has already become one of the longest-tenured players on Golden State’s current roster.

His relationship with Green has extended beyond the gym. The former Arkansas standout recalled a recent visit to Green’s home in Los Angeles, where the two discussed art and life outside the game.

“He showed me different things and was teaching me about art,” Moody said. “That was a cool conversation.”

Moody emphasized that Green’s impact goes far beyond his on-court intensity, describing the veteran forward as “that guy” who’s consistently offering wisdom behind the scenes.

Signed to a three-year, $39 million extension in October 2024, Moody is coming off a career-best campaign, averaging 9.8 points per game and shooting 37.4% from three-point range.

Green, who will turn 36 during the 2025–26 season, remains a vocal anchor for the franchise that has won four NBA championships since 2015.

“Draymond is definitely the verbal leader,” Moody said. “He has a lot to say, and he’s not afraid to say it.”

While Curry leads more by example, Moody noted that both veterans are willing to speak up when needed.

“Steph will let you know what you need to do. He’ll let you know what you didn’t do,” Moody added. “When he’s doing all of that, you can’t help but lead by example as well.”

Moody’s appreciation for mentorship extends to former teammate Kevon Looney, who signed with the New Orleans Pelicans this offseason.

“He introduced me to yoga,” Moody said of Looney. “We did that together every game day.”
