Isaiah Jackson’s recently signed three-year, $21 million contract with the Indiana Pacers is fully guaranteed at present; however, it contains specific injury protection clauses for the second and third years.

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, these provisions are designed to safeguard the team financially if Jackson were to experience another significant Achilles injury that prevents him from meeting certain games-played requirements.

Jackson missed nearly the entire 2024–25 season due to an Achilles tear he suffered in early November, which required a lengthy rehabilitation period.

Given his injury history, the Pacers structured the contract to mitigate potential risk in the later years of the deal, ensuring that if Jackson is unable to participate in enough games due to a recurrence of the injury, the guarantees could be affected accordingly.
