Isaiah Jackson didn’t receive much attention when he was included in the deal that sent Ivica Zubac to the Indiana Pacers, initially slotting in as the third-string center for the Los Angeles Clippers.

However, his role has quickly expanded following a season-ending foot injury to rookie Yanic Konan Niederhauser.

Since then, Jackson has taken over as the team’s primary backup at center and has made a strong impression on head coach Tyronn Lue.

“He’s been really good,” Lue said of Jackson. “I think rebounding the basketball, his ability to switch one through five on the floor has been really good for us.

“(As well as) his ability to run the floor, his offensive rebounds, lob dunks, and being able to post smaller guys when they try to switch.

“He’s been able to post smaller guys they’ve been throwing at him, and he’s been able to take advantage around the rim.”

Jackson has played 5 seasons for the Pacers and Clippers. He has averaged 7.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in 218 regular-season games.
