Isaiah Jackson is staying with the Indiana Pacers. The team announced that they’ve re-signed him to a new three-year deal worth $21 million, according to his agents.
Jackson, the 22nd pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, has played a limited role over four seasons with the Pacers. He’s averaged 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 15 minutes per game across 163 games (31 as a starter).
Unfortunately, he missed almost all of the 2024–25 season due to a torn right Achilles early in the year.
James Wiseman, who also suffered an Achilles injury at the start of the same season, had appeared to move ahead of Jackson in the team’s center rotation.
That, combined with Jackson’s injury, made it a bit surprising when the Pacers extended him a $6.4 million qualifying offer last month to keep him as a restricted free agent.
Still, that offer – and this new contract – suggests that Indiana still sees Jackson as a valuable player and believes in his recovery.
Now that Myles Turner is with the Bucks, Jackson will have a real shot to earn minutes at center this season. He’ll compete with Jay Huff, Tony Bradley, and Wiseman, who also re-signed with the Pacers.
With Jackson’s new contract, the Pacers now have 15 players on standard deals for the 2025–26 season.
However, since Wiseman’s and Bradley’s contracts aren’t fully guaranteed, they might be competing for the final roster spot.
