The Miami Heat have reached an agreement with guard Davion Mitchell on a two-year contract worth $24 million.

Mitchell had been on track to enter restricted free agency on July 1 before finalizing the deal with Miami.

Mitchell joined the Heat as part of a multi-team trade involving the Toronto Raptors, which was completed at last season’s NBA trade deadline.

Following the move, he appeared in 30 games for Miami, earning a starting spot in 15 of those contests.

During his time with the Heat, the 6-foot-2 guard contributed solidly across the board, posting averages of 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game while logging 31.6 minutes per outing.

He demonstrated notable efficiency as well, converting 50% of his shots from the field and connecting on 45% of his 3.1 three-point attempts per game.
