Houston Rockets wing Cam Whitmore has drawn interest from multiple teams, according to a report by Kelly Iko of The Athletic.

Despite being selected 20th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft, Whitmore has struggled to carve out a consistent role in Ime Udoka’s rotation across two seasons.

Sources told The Athletic that a “handful of teams” have asked about the 20-year-old’s availability, though no formal trade request has been made by Whitmore or his representatives.

Whitmore, whose athleticism and scoring flashes have intrigued scouts, averaged 9.4 points and 3.0 rebounds in 16.2 minutes over 51 games this season.

His playing time dropped compared to his rookie year, when he posted 12.3 points per game in nearly 19 minutes of action across 47 contests.

Houston’s depth on the wing and their emergence as a contender in the Western Conference have limited Whitmore’s opportunities.

The Rockets finished second in the West with a 52–30 record and clinched the Southwest Division title for the first time since 2020.

They pushed Golden State to seven games in the first round of the playoffs, but Whitmore saw only 1.7 minutes per game and scored zero points during the series.

Although his role was minimal in the postseason, the Rockets remain optimistic about Whitmore’s long-term development.

He is currently under a four-year, $15.6 million rookie contract, with two team option years remaining—one of which has already been picked up by Houston.
