Minnesota Timberwolves big man Naz Reid was forced to leave Saturday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs after logging only five minutes because of soreness in his left shoulder.

While the early exit raised concern, the issue does not appear to be serious.

Reid was initially listed as questionable for Tuesday’s matchup against the Utah Jazz, but he has since been upgraded to available on the league’s injury report, suggesting the Timberwolves expect him to play.

In New Orleans, the New Orleans Pelicans received a cautiously positive update regarding defensive standout Herbert Jones.

The team announced via press release that Jones has been upgraded to questionable ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Detroit Pistons.

Jones has missed 14 of the Pelicans’ last 15 games while dealing with a right ankle sprain.

Despite appearing in multiple trade rumors this season, reports have indicated that New Orleans has made him unavailable in trade discussions.

Meanwhile, there was a notable update involving the Washington Wizards and forward Cam Whitmore.

Although Whitmore is expected to miss the remainder of the 2025/26 season due to a blood clot in his right shoulder, he was seen sitting on the bench during Monday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

According to Josh Robbins of The Athletic, his presence with the team is viewed as an encouraging sign for his long-term health.

The former first-round pick will be eligible for a contract extension this offseason and is set to earn $5.46 million in the 2026/27 season, the final year of his rookie-scale deal.
