Minnesota star Mike Conley is playing with renewed passion – and it’s fueling his desire to extend his NBA career beyond what many expected.
The 37-year-old Timberwolves guard, who’s chasing his first NBA Finals appearance, revealed he plans to play at least two more seasons, thanks in large part to the joy he’s rediscovered.
“You really can’t take it for granted,” he said of the NBA experience. “Especially at my age getting older. That is one reason why I’m here.”
With a healthy outlook and youthful energy, Conley’s veteran presence has become an essential pillar in Minnesota’s postseason success.
Conley has played 18 seasons for the Grizzlies, Timberwolves, and Jazz. He has averaged 14.1 points, 5.7 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in 1,172 regular-season games.
