Veteran point guard Mike Conley is embracing every moment of the Minnesota Timberwolves’ playoff push, soaking in the energy and camaraderie of a team on the rise.

“I’m having a ball, bro, honestly,” Conley told reporters with a wide grin. “I tell the guys all the time, ‘If you see a day where I’m not smiling and not having a good time and loving being here, tell me to retire. Tell me to go home.’”

For Conley, now 37, this postseason chase is about more than just wins – it’s about relishing the atmosphere of elite competition in the twilight of his career.

“Being around these guys, the atmosphere, the game. The competitive atmosphere every day. You don’t get this anywhere else in life,” he said.

Conley has played 18 seasons for the Grizzlies, Timberwolves, and Jazz. He has averaged 14.1 points, 5.7 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in 1,172 regular-season games.

He was selected to play in 1 All-Star game.
