Detroit Pistons forward-center Isaiah Stewart appeared to suffer a leg injury during his team’s Game 1 loss to the New York Knicks in the opening round of the playoffs.

Observers noted Stewart hobbling noticeably as he left the court, raising immediate concerns about his availability moving forward.

Following the game, Stewart reportedly underwent medical imaging to assess the severity of the injury. However, the Pistons have not released an official update on his condition.

With Game 2 of the series scheduled for Monday night at Madison Square Garden, the team is expected to issue a formal injury report on Sunday.

Stewart left Game 1 early in the fourth quarter and did not return. At that point, he had logged just 18 minutes, slightly under his regular-season average of 20 minutes per game.

His absence was felt immediately, as the Knicks capitalized on the depleted Pistons frontcourt, going on a significant run that helped them seize control of the game.

Stewart’s potential absence in Game 2 could pose a major challenge for Detroit, as he plays a key role in their interior defense and physical presence in the paint.
