Colin Castleton will leave the Philadelphia 76ers and rejoin the Toronto Raptors for the final weekend of the regular season, reports Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Castleton, who began the season on a two-way contract with the Memphis Grizzlies before joining the Raptors and then the 76ers on 10-day deals, has averaged 4.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 24 games this season.
His best performance came with the Raptors, where he averaged 6.9 points and 7.4 rebounds in 10 games.
Due to NBA rules limiting players to two 10-day contracts, Castleton and the Raptors agreed to a standard two-year contract, not guaranteed beyond this season.
This allows the Raptors to further evaluate him and A.J. Lawson, also signed to a similar deal during the offseason.
To make space, the Raptors waived Orlando Robinson and Cole Swider, and it appears Lawson and Castleton will take their spots on the roster.
Although Castleton’s 10-day contract with the Sixers runs through Saturday, the team may end it early to allow him to sign with Toronto.
