Dante Exum may be on track for a sooner-than-expected comeback following surgery on his left hand.
Originally projected to be sidelined for the rest of the season after suffering a fracture in mid-March, the Mavericks’ guard is now listed as questionable for Wednesday’s matchup against the Lakers, according to Mike Curtis of the Dallas Morning News.
This unexpected update marks a significant development, as Exum’s return could provide a timely boost to Dallas’ backcourt depth heading into the final stretch of the season.
Exum has played 8 seasons for the Jazz, Mavericks and Cavaliers. He has averaged 6.2 points and 2.3 assists in 318 regular-season games.
