Bogdan Bogdanovic was enduring the most challenging season of his NBA career with the Atlanta Hawks, averaging just 10.0 points per game on 37.1% shooting from the field and a disappointing 30.1% from beyond the arc.
However, since his trade to the Los Angeles Clippers, he has found his rhythm once again, boosting his scoring average to 12.6 points per game while significantly improving his efficiency, making 48.5% of his shots and 40.0% from three-point range.
According to Janis Carr of The Orange County Register, Bogdanovic has quickly become an important X-factor for the Clippers. His basketball IQ, court vision, and ability to complement star guard James Harden have made a noticeable impact.
“Bogey, him coming to our team really gave us a shot in the arm and helped us out in all of those areas,” said assistant coach Brian Shaw.
“His spacing and ball-handling take some of the pressure off of James… and when we want to seek out mismatches, they have to account for him on the three-point line, which opens up the paint and other opportunities.”
Looking ahead, Bogdanovic is under contract for next season with a guaranteed salary of $16 million and has a $16 million team option for the 2026/27 season, ensuring that he will not just be a short-term addition to the Clippers but a valuable asset for at least the next couple of years.
