Before this season, many questioned whether the combination of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen would work effectively together on the court. However, those doubts have been largely silenced by the Cleveland Cavaliers’ strong performance this season.

Allen spoke to Sportskeeda’s Mark Medina about how the duo has found success and learned to coexist for extended periods.

“Evan is really benefitting from this offense,” Allen explained. “You can see his numbers and his confidence. We can all see it. He’s leading our team. It makes it easier.

“We have our separate roles now. He’s on the outside, shooting 3s, running the offense, and pushing it. And I’m in the dunker, doing what I’m used to.”

This clear division of responsibilities has allowed the two to complement each other, with Mobley taking on a more perimeter-focused role while Allen dominates near the basket, which has made their partnership a more seamless fit for the Cavaliers.

Mobley has played 4 seasons for the Cavaliers. He has averaged 16.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 259 regular-season games.
