Evan Mobley: You’re gonna see me making plays with the ball in my hands a lot more this year

Cleveland Cavaliers big man Evan Mobley believes that he’ll be able to space the floor out more with the ball in his hands under new head coach Kenny Atkinson.

Reporter: “One of the things that’s been talked about basically any time Kenny’s talked to us so far has been you as a ball handler offensively. How do you think that changes the way you guys are spaced out when you and Jarrett [Allen] are both on the floor?” 

Mobley: “It changes a lot with me attacking with the ball in my hands. Jarrett can be down there in the dunker, create space for our offense to really run and do what we want to. So we’re going to see a lot of that in different matchups and different roles with me with the ball, and it’s just going to keep growing from there.”

Reporter: “Is that something you envision taking place in the half-court setting?”

Mobley: “Yeah. Any setting where it makes sense and we’re getting good options out of it, then we’re going to run it.”
