Kevin Knox II is on his second 10-day contract with the Warriors and hopes to stay longer, per Andrew Crane of the New York Post. He began the year with Golden State’s summer and G League teams before earning a call-up.

“You gotta put your ego and pride aside… and just do what’s needed,” Knox II said of his G League stint. “I think that was the best at the time… to get some more reps, more film.”

Though playing on a star-studded, playoff-bound team limits his role, Knox II is averaging 4.0 points in seven games.

“I’m just so impressed… he’s on this path, on this journey and not giving in,” said coach Steve Kerr.

His contract runs through Monday, when the Warriors must decide whether to keep him or go in another direction.

Knox II has played 7 seasons for 5 teams, including the Knicks and Hawks. He has averaged 7.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 311 regular-season games.
