Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski was forced to leave Thursday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets almost immediately, heading to the locker room after appearing to clutch his back, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Initially, his return was listed as uncertain, but he was later ruled out for the remainder of the game, as reported by ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk.

After the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr downplayed concerns, explaining that Podziemski’s back had simply tightened up and that the injury was not considered serious. Moving forward, he will be listed as day-to-day, per Slater.

Podziemski has played 2 seasons for the Warriors. He has averaged 9.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 124 regular-season games.
