Philadelphia 76ers veteran Paul George has revealed that he is pushing through an injury to finish the season, confirming recent reports that he has been receiving painkilling injections to stay on the court.

Despite his struggles, George remains committed to giving his team everything he has as they continue their playoff push.

“I’m hanging in there,” George said following the Sixers’ home loss to the Boston Celtics.

“I’m just trying to give this team everything I have. The report is true. I’m taking some sorts of medicines to kind of, I guess, play through pain. But yeah, I’m going to try to give everything I got.”

George has faced numerous injury setbacks throughout the season, missing a total of 19 games due to various ailments, including knee issues, an ankle injury, and a strained groin.

His latest challenge is a damaged tendon in his left pinky finger, yet he remains determined to stay on the floor and contribute to the Sixers’ efforts down the stretch.
