Brose Baskets were comfortable 80-67 road winners over Wurzburg as they stayed on top of the Beko BBL table, but Bayern Munich and ALBA Berlin remain on the trail.

Bayern Munich disposed of Giessen 46ers 88-68 at the Audi Dome in what was a routine win as Nihad Djedovic had 19 points for Bayern.

ALBA Berlin were victorious at the league’s basement side MBC 84-75 at the Leipzig Arena.

Robert Lowery paced Berlin with 20 points and eight rebounds as ALBA were never troubled after a strong first quarter.

Fraport Frankfurt Skyliners stayed in fourth spot but were by no means at their best in a 75-71 win over Bayreuth.

EWE Baskets Oldenburg were 81-75 winners at mid-table Tubingen, Ludwigsburg dealt a blow to Braunschweig’s playoff chances as they eased to a 83-61 win at home. And there was also a win for ratiopharm Ulm who toppled Phoenix Hagen 101-75, mainly thanks to a dominant 35-18 first quarter.

The other game of the weekend saw Bremerhaven beat Telekom Baskets Bonn 87-72.
