Brose Baskets could not have asked for a better weekend in the Beko BBL as they won comfortably with Bayern Munich and ALBA Berlin all tasting defeat, leaving the door open for Frankfurt to hop into second spot.

Bayern were soundly beaten by the energetic ratiopharm Ulm 91-72 as Chris Babb exploded for 29 points, which included seven three-pointers out of ten attempts.

And ALBA were stunned on home court 78-74 by Ludwigsburg. It was the only road win of week 22 and because of it; the Berliners plummeted down to sixth, one below Ludwigsburg, who move to fifth.

Jon Brockman paced the winners with a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Brose Baskets though secured their tenth win in a row as they were too much for the Tubingen, winning 101-64 to stay comfortably on top of the Beko BBL table.

The results elsewhere also benefited Fraport Frankfurt Skyliners, who beat Bramerhaven 91-60 at home.

Jordan Theodore and Quantez Robinson both had 16 points to lead the way for the Skyliners who pulled away late in the second quarter and never looked back against a tired looking Bramerhaven side.

EWE Baskets Oldenburg are in the top four after they convincingly beat basement side MBC 103-81. Klemen Prepelic hit five triples as he led the way with 19 points, off the bench.

Around the league, there were wins for Bayreuth, who toppled Crailsheim 78-70, Giessen 46ers edged s.Oliver Baskets 81-79, Telekom Baskets Bonn beat second from bottom Goettingen 92-84 and Braunschweig beat Phoenix Hagen 93-79.
