The Washington Wizards have signed forward Taylor Funk to an Exhibit 10 contract, with the expectation that he will spend the upcoming season with their G League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go, following the preseason.
An Exhibit 10 contract provides players with a chance to participate in training camp while offering financial incentives to stay with the team’s developmental program if waived from the NBA roster.
Funk brings valuable experience to the Go-Go, having split last season between the Capital City Go-Go and the Maine Celtics in the G League.
Across 50 total games, the 6-foot-8 forward averaged 8.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, showcasing his ability to contribute offensively.
Known for his shooting, Funk attempted 5.7 shots from beyond the arc per game, connecting on 35.6% of those attempts, demonstrating his role as a floor-spacer and perimeter threat.
As a versatile forward with size and shooting ability, Funk will look to further develop his game in the G League.
His ability to stretch defenses with his three-point shooting makes him an asset for the Go-Go, and with continued improvement, he could position himself for future opportunities at the NBA level.
