The Los Angeles Clippers have signed forward Taylor Funk, HoopsHype reported, bolstering their depth ahead of the 2025–26 NBA campaign. Funk brings G League experience and versatility, having previously played for the Capital City Go-Go.
Funk went undrafted in 2023 but joined the Miami Heat for the Summer League before signing an Exhibit 10 deal with the Boston Celtics. After being waived, he spent time with the Maine Celtics and later the Go-Go, where he developed into a reliable forward.
During the 2024–25 season with Capital City, Funk averaged 11.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, shooting 39.3% from three-point range. The 6-foot-7 forward also contributes defensively, averaging 1.0 steal and 0.6 blocks per contest last season.
The Clippers roster features stars like Kawhi Leonard, Paul Chris, and John Collins, alongside younger talents including Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Trentyn Flowers.
This move comes as Los Angeles looks to remain competitive without relying heavily on draft selections, holding only one first-round pick in 2025.
