The Los Angeles Lakers are preparing for the 2024-25 NBA season, featuring the league’s first-ever father-son duo of LeBron James and his eldest son Bronny.

Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka recently shared insights about an exchange that occurred between the two during a team scrimmage.

“Bronny got switched onto LeBron and he took him baseline and up and under off the glass,” Pelinka explained, via Basketball Forever.

He added that the conversation that followed was likely more intense than expected.

“The words exchanged afterwards were probably more challenging than anything else,” Pelinka noted.

LeBron has emphasized the importance of treating Bronny as a teammate during team activities.

Previously, the four-time NBA champion stated that Bronny can switch back to calling him “dad” once they leave the court.

This dynamic creates a unique environment as they prepare for the season ahead.
