LeBron James remains the center of attention this offseason as the future Hall of Famer weighs one of the most closely watched free agency decisions of the summer.

Much of the speculation has centered on the possibility of James returning to one of his former franchises, with familiarity viewed as a major advantage.

He enjoyed two separate stints with the Cavaliers, capturing an NBA championship with his hometown team, while his four-year run with the Heat produced two titles and two Finals MVP awards.

Although Cleveland has long been considered home for James, many of the principles and mindset that have defined his career were shaped during his time in Miami.

As a result, both Cleveland and Miami have emerged as realistic landing spots if James decides to continue playing elsewhere.

The Cavaliers have widely been viewed as the favorites to land James, but a new report could strengthen Miami’s position in the race.

According to On SI’s Ethan J. Skolnick, the Heat are reportedly willing to offer Bronny James a two-way contract if LeBron James chooses to sign with the franchise.

Bronny’s $2.3 million contract with the Lakers became fully guaranteed one day after LeBron informed Los Angeles that he would not return for the upcoming season.

With Bronny now eligible to be traded, Miami is reportedly open to bringing the 21-year-old into the organization.

However, the report adds that the Heat’s interest in signing Bronny to a two-way contract depends entirely on LeBron’s free agency decision.
