The Detroit Pistons have signed Dereon Seabron to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto.

Seabron, a 6-foot-7 guard, previously spent two seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans on a two-way contract.

After redshirting his first year at NC State, Seabron developed into a standout player, earning ACC Most Improved Player honors during his sophomore season.

In his second year at NC State, Seabron posted a career-high 39 points and 18 rebounds in a quadruple-overtime win against Nebraska, setting an ACC–Big Ten Challenge scoring record.

Despite going undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft, Seabron secured a two-way contract with the Pelicans and split time between the NBA and the G League’s Birmingham Squadron.

Last season with Birmingham, Seabron averaged 17.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game in 32.6 minutes.

He also played in six NBA games for the Pelicans, recording 2.3 points and 1.2 rebounds per game in limited minutes.
