Brose Baskets have gone top of the Beko BBL after a thrilling 87-74 win at ALBA Berlin in week 12.

The damage was done in the first half as Bamberg raced to a 51-34 lead at half-time before ALBA staged a late fightback, but the visitors held firm to go 9-2 and top of the BBL.

Brad Wanamaker led the way for Brose Baskets with 18 points. ALBA drop to fourth but own the same record as Brose Baskets.

Ludwigsburg occupies second spot in the league after they recorded an 85-77 win over Telekom Baskets to also go to a 9-2 record.

Mustafa Shakur and Roderick Trice both had 18 points for Ludwigsburg.

Bayern Munich, who struggled for form at the start of the season are back on their feet after they comfortably saw off Giessen 46ers 87-61 on the road to move up to seventh.

The Euroleague side are hot on the heels of sixth placed Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt who lost 68-61 to ratiopharm Ulm.

Down at the bottom of the league, Goettingen claimed their second win of the campaign with a 79-70 success over fellow strugglers Crailsheim.

Veteran Khalid El-Amin had 16 points, which was matched by team-mate Shane Edwards. Crailsheim drop to 3-8.

Elsewhere in the Beko BBL, Phoenix Hagen got a convincing 100-60 win over Bayreuth, Oldenburg dropped to fifth after they lost at home 82-75 to Wurzburg who move up to third.

Braunschweig were also winners in week 12 as they ousted Tubingen 83-79. The bottom two in the league, MBC and Bramerhaven lock horns on Tuesday.
